Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) services

Our reev Connect software solution is provided via the reev Cloud and enables the activation and allocation of individual charging processes to individuals or electric vehicles, monitoring and reporting, internal booking and billing, external billing, EMS, etc., as described in more detail below. reev’s offering includes the software connection of your controller charging station(s) to our IT infrastructure, the reev Platform and access to the corresponding services.

The performance parameters of our SaaS solutions include in detail:

General configuration and administration

The reev Platform makes configuring and managing your charging infrastructure as easy as possible.

  • Configuration of charging points: free charging without authentication or charging after prior authentication
  • Setting up, assigning and managing RFID cards

Monitoring and reporting

The monitoring dashboard provides you with a clear visual overview and targeted evaluation options for the charging infrastructure you operate, with the following display functions.

  • Number of charging points (per location)
  • Current operating status (free, occupied, etc.) of the individual charging points in the charging infrastructure and the current total charging power (per location)
  • The charging load curve, i.e. time-based display of the charging load per charging point and for entire locations
  • Overview of charging times and the respective operating states of the charging infrastructure (“charging status”) as a heat map over time

Internal allocation/

billing to cost centres

With the “Internal allocation” function, you can accurately record and internally allocate the (charging) costs of your internal fleet or company car fleet based on individual cost centres.

  • Multiple cost centres can be created.
  • Allocation of individual charging processes to internal cost centres for internal cost allocation
  • Management of RFID cards (“charging keys” for authentication) and allocation to individual vehicles and users
  • Assignment of RFID cards to cost centres
  • Tariff management for internal billing: creation of one or more tariffs (kWh)
  • Internal billing function: accumulation of charging costs per cost centre
  • Export function: Export of charging costs per cost centre as a
  • .csv file

Regular billing with authorised users – direct marketing of charging stations to a specific and defined group of people by the customer (Pro license only)

With automated billing for authorised users, our software enables you to market charging stations yourself to a specific and defined group of people (so-called authorised users) and offer them a fee – at a tariff of your choice. The collection and distribution of the fees incurred for the charging processes is carried out with the support of a payment service provider (PSP).

  • Invitation and management of authorised users
  • Setting charging rates for authorised users
  • Automated individual billing of monthly charging processes for authorised users (based on authentication)
  • Sending monthly invoices to authorised users by email
  • Instruction of monthly direct debits via a PSP
  • Invoicing is carried out on behalf of and on the instructions of the customer by the provider. For this purpose, a separate billing area is opened by the provider.
  • Automatic crediting of monthly billing transactions to the customer
  • Instruction of monthly credits via a PSP

Ad hoc charging – direct marketing of charging points to an undefined group of people (guest charging, spontaneous charging) by the customer
(Pro license only)

With the ad hoc charging function, our software enables you to market your charging points yourself to an undefined group of people (so-called ad hoc users) and offer them for a fee – at a rate of your choice

  • The fees incurred for the charging processes are collected and distributed with the support of a payment service provider (PSP).
  • Option to set the tariff for each charging station individually
  • Start of a charging process after authorisation process
  • Display of a booking account for ad hoc charging processes, including
  • listing of monthly charging processes
  • Monthly totals for costs and electricity consumption
  • Billing of charging processes by ad hoc users
  • Automatic crediting of revenue to the CPO’s disposable account
  • Automated invoicing for ad hoc users

Customer requirements

  • Sufficient GSM signal strength at the respective location
  • Provision of the required maximum load per site
  • Existing RFID cards or charging keys; RFID cards must comply with the STD Mifare standard
  • The charging stations are equipped with hardware compatible with RFID cards supported by reev
  • Provision of parking or charging layout plans suitable for site monitoring, in image file format (PNG, JPG) (optional for the map display of charging points)

The charging stations meet the technical requirements set out in the annex to the contractual terms for the product reev Connect.

Roaming services

In addition to the above SaaS services, the reev Platform (in the Pro version) offers the option of having your charging points marketed by reev, provided this is activated by the customer.

Roaming – marketing of charging points to an undefined group of people by reev
(Pro license only)

With our roaming services, you can offer your charging stations to a larger group of electric vehicle drivers.

Our service includes:

  • Registration of your selected charging points on a third-party marketing platform (e.g. Hubject GmbH)
  • The commercial marketing, use and exploitation of the charging stations via the third-party platform is carried out by reev in its own name, on its own account and at its own risk
  • Settlement of charging transactions generated via the third-party platform between reev and the customer
  • Monthly payment by reev to the customer for the charging processes marketed in this way at the agreed service price

Our General Terms and Conditions apply to the reev Platform product.

reev EMS / reev Energy Management

In addition to the above SaaS services, reev also offers the option of integrating existing charging stations into the cloud-based energy management system reev EMS.

reev EMS – Cloudbased energy manage-ment system

reev EMS enables efficient control and monitoring of the charging infrastructure and distributes the available power efficiently to the vehicles being charged. This maximises the performance of the charging infrastructure without the need for costly investments in increasing grid connection capacity.

Monitoring and control of the charging infrastructure:

  • Advanced control and centralised management of the charging infrastructure via online access
  • Fully integrated via the reev Platform

Load management and cascading:

  • Optimal distribution of capacity to an unlimited number of charging groups
  • Mapping of complex with with multiple sub-distributions
  • Calculation of a dynamic limit depending on the building load (optional)
  • Prevent of overload by phase-accurate load management and avoidance of unbalanced loads

Prioritisation:

  • Prioritising individual charging points, users or user groups (via RFID card) ensures that maximum power is available at the prioritised charging points at all times

Grid-friendly charging:

  • Implementation of the grid operator’s control commands in accordance with Section 14a of the German Energy Industry Act (EnWG). The remaining capacity is distributed among the charging stations, considering the maximum permissible load
  • Connection and response to the fire alarm system

PV Integration:

  • The integration of PV systems increases the power available for the charging infrastructure and enables faster charging
  • To further reduce costs, PV surplus charging (optional) ensures that only PV electricity that would otherwise be fed into the grid is used to charge electric vehicles.

Connection to external systems:

  • Option to connect to an external energy management system (EMS) and/or building management system to control the charging points based on specified input limits
  • Connection and response to the fire alarm system

Payment terminal (optional)

In addition to the above-mentioned SaaS services, reev offers the option of marketing its charging stations to an undefined group of people via a physical card reader with the “payment terminal” product.

Payment terminal – Direct marketing of charging stations to an undefined group of people (guest charging, spontaneous charging) by the customer via a physical card reader
(Pro license only)

With this function, our software enables you to market your charging points to an undefined group of people (so-called payment terminal users) via a physical card reader and offer them a fee – according to a tariff of your choice. The collection and distribution of the fees incurred for the charging processes is carried out with the support of a payment service provider.

  • Option to set the rate individually for each charging group
  • Start of a charging process after authorisation process on the card reader
  • Display of a booking account for payment terminal charging processes, including
  • listing of monthly charging processes
  • calculation of total monthly costs and electricity consumption
  • Billing of charging processes by payment terminal users
  • Automatic crediting of revenue to the CPO’s disposable account
  • Automatic issuance of receipts for payment terminal users
