Eduard had never planned to start a company. At 22, he was fascinated by the potential of renewable energy and the question of how electricity could be intelligently managed and stored. He saw how much potential was being wasted because existing systems were too inflexible, and the question “What if we could change that?” led to the creation of reev.
“I never planned on becoming an entrepreneur. I just wanted to solve a problem. The solutions available at the time seemed slow and outdated. So we built our first prototypes together with a partner company. That company later became our first investor. It all started small: pure curiosity, a few people, and the
belief that energy could work differently.”
reev started as a SaaS company offering software for charging stations, as this is where energy and mobility converge. Charging stations served as the gateway to the building, with a focus on semi-public areas where vehicles park for longer periods and where charging can be integrated most intelligently into the energy system.
Today, reev is not only the largest management platform for charging stations in semi-public areas, but also the fastest-growing provider of energy management solutions for businesses in Germany.

AI is part of everything we do, from products to voice-based AI assistants. Every team, every workflow, every role. A mixed approach, where some use AI and others don’t, creates two speeds within a company. That doesn’t work, so we’re going all in—thoughtfully rather than hastily, with accountability rather than at the expense of everything else.
