You can now generate additional revenue at every publicly accessible reev charging point you operate using the reev GHG quota. The prerequisite is that ad hoc charging is activated at the charging points and the charging points have been registered with the Federal Network Agency.

You currently receive 3.5 cents for every kWh charged. This applies to each of your publicly accessible charging points and regardless of which e-vehicles are charged at these charging points. Thanks to the consumption-based recording (per kWh) with the reev dashboard, you can have all previous charging processes of the current calendar year (also retroactively) counted towards the GHG quota.

What is behind the GHG reduction rate?

eMobility that pays off twice over. Charge green and earn money at the same time

In order to counteract the constant CO2 emissions in the transport sector, the GHG quota has created an additional incentive to switch to climate-friendly drive types. Those who put CO2-emitting fuels on the road – i.e. the mineral oil industry – must pay for this. And those who have already switched to lower-CO2 alternatives will benefit. For this reason, eMobility users can transfer the resulting CO2 savings to the mineral oil companies in the form of the GHG quota. reev enables you to make use of this additional revenue potential without any effort.

FAQs on the reev GHG quota

The GHG quota is a regulatory instrument for reducing CO2 emissions in the transport sector. The use of electromobility results in CO2 savings, which can then be sold to the companies in the petroleum industry that are subject to the quota. This results in additional costs for the oil companies and users of electromobility (which is much lower in CO2 emissions in comparison) generate additional income. This redistribution has a steering effect that should ensure the transition from conventionally powered vehicles to electromobility in the long term.

The reev GHG quota can be used by both companies and private individuals. Companies can use the reev GHG quota for all eCompany cars and ePool vehicles. In addition, companies can use the reev GHG quota for publicly accessible charging points. Private individuals can use the reev GHG quota for their battery electric vehicles via the reev app.

An annual flat rate of €70 or more* applies to the reev GHG quota for battery electric vehicles. This can be used for company cars and ePool vehicles within companies as well as for private battery electric vehicles. Companies can also claim reev GHG quotas for all publicly accessible charging points and thus generate an additional 3.5 cents per kWh in revenue.

*You will receive a different amount depending on the vehicle class.

Owners of pure battery electric vehicles can use the annual flat rate of €70 or more*. The lump sum is due to the person named as the owner in the registration certificate part 1. This may be a company or a private individual.

*You will receive a different amount depending on the vehicle class.

  • No. The GHG quota can only be used by owners of pure battery electric vehicles (BEV).

To be able to use the reev GHG quota for publicly accessible charging points, you as a company need the reev Dashboard Pro. This allows you to receive 3.5 cents for every kWh delivered at your public charging points. Ad hoc charging must be activated for these charging points, they must comply with calibration law and a corresponding notification must have been submitted to the Federal Network Agency.

If the requirements for public charging are met and the reev Dashboard Pro is used, the 3.5 cents are charged for each kWh delivered at the respective charging point. This includes both BEV and PHEV charging, employee charging, ad hoc charging and eRoaming.
