Electric mobility on the upswing
2024 was a decisive year for electromobility. As reported by the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), the number of electric vehicles in Germany rose to over 1.5 million – an important milestone on the road to sustainable mobility.
With the new AFIR regulation, the EU Commission has taken measures to promote the expansion of charging infrastructure across Europe and create the basis for climate-friendly mobility.
Industry leader with 7,000 B2B customers
2024 was also a year full of growth and innovation for reev. Together with partners and customers, we were able to take decisive steps to make electromobility more accessible, smarter and more efficient.
With over 7,000 B2B customers across Europe, reev is consolidating its position as a leading provider of charging and energy management in the semi-public sector. A look at the figures shows the progress and milestones that shaped the year 2024.
Sustainable success in figures
2024 was a year of impressive results – together with our customers and partners, we made a real difference:
– 116 million kWh of electricity supplied – almost twice as much as in 2023.
– 662.7 million km driven electrically – the equivalent of more than 16,500 trips around the world.
– 79.5 million kg of CO₂ saved – comparable to the emissions of over 40,000 combustion vehicles.
– 49 million liters of fuel saved – enough to run almost one million vehicles for a year.
Series A: A significant milestone for reev
The successful Series A financing round in May 2024 marked a decisive moment in the company’s development.
The double-digit million amount forms the basis for further expansion in Europe.
In addition to strengthening our market leadership in the DACH region, we are tapping into new markets – particularly France and the Benelux countries.
At the same time, we are investing in the further development of innovative solutions to promote intelligent charging and energy management across Europe and actively shape the mobility transition.
New markets, new opportunities: Expansion Benelux
2024 was all about internationalization at reev.
Important progress was made in the Benelux countries in particular in order to specifically address regional requirements.
“The Benelux countries have long been at the forefront of the electrification of mobility. Now is the time to embark on the next phase: professionalizing the software infrastructure that supports this transformation.”
– Jordi Steenman, Country Manager Benelux
Thanks to local roadshows and new partnerships, such as with SCE Sàrl in Luxembourg, the first projects were successfully launched.
Innovation meets simplicity
Over the course of the year, reev has developed numerous new solutions that make electromobility even easier and more accessible:
– reev Payment Terminal: Contract-free card payments at charging points – easier and more convenient than ever before.
– reev eWizard: Configuration of charging stations in less than 60 seconds.
– reev energy management system: Cloud-based energy management system with dynamic and static load management – seamlessly integrated into the reev platform.
Strong together: 5 years of ABL reev ready
United since 2019 ABL reev ready combines powerful, pre-configured ABL hardware with the intelligent reev software to create a coordinated complete eMobility solution.
2024 added new features for electricians, such as the seamless handshake between the ABL app and reev.
With this partnership, ABL and reev have once again demonstrated a pioneering spirit – as it was one of the first complete packages of its kind on the market.
Partnerships and projects: Achieving more together
2024 was a year of strong collaborations and successful projects:
– European Patent Office (EPO): 723 charging points in The Hague and Munich – controlled via the reev Dashboard Pro.
– 1KOMMA5°: Integration of PV systems and charging infrastructure – for a holistic energy solution.
– Elektro Beckhoff: Migration of over 400 charging points to the reev software – in close cooperation with leading hardware providers.
– Schneider Electric | reev: The new Pre-Configured solution combines hardware and software for a simpler, more flexible and more efficient charging infrastructure.
In addition, innovative projects that set new standards in electromobility were implemented together with numerous other partners.
